RCC, RMP to work together to root put terrorism
Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) and Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) will work together against all sorts of
crimes including terrorism, extremism and drug-addiction in the city and the metropolis.
This was revealed when the newly joined RMP Commissioner Humayun Kabir made a courtesy call on RCC Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton at latter’s city bhaban office here today. They have vowed to work together for ensuring peace and tranquility everywhere in the city.
In the meeting, RMP boss said police remains zero tolerance against drug-addiction and it wants to do necessary works to free the society from addiction of drugs and its trading and trafficking. RMP will install close circuit camera at all major points in the city for ensuring its full-proof security.

In response, Mayor Liton assured his all-possible cooperation.
“We want a drug-addiction free society for betterment of the young
generation,” he said adding that police will get support for all good works.
He also sought police support to free the footpaths from illegal
Mayor Liton said the people involved in drug peddling and trafficking and gambling will not go unpunished. Stern action must be taken against them so that none get involved in the social-decaying activities. RCC Chief Executive Officer Shawgatul Alam and Chief Engineer Ashraful Haque were present on the occasion.
