Nepali art fair in Bangladesh

The Nepal Art Fair Bangladesh 2018, which exhibits works by a total of 57 Nepali artists, commenced on Sunday in Bangladesh.

The week-long exhibition was held as per the agreement signed between Nepal Academy of Fine Arts and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy two years ago.

Along with the exhibition, a scheduled conference on fine arts will also witness artists from both the countries. A team comprising of nine Nepali artists working in various genres left for Bangladesh on Sunday to participate in the programme. The team is led by the veteran artist and Chancellor of the Nepal Academy of Fine Arts Ragini Upadhyaya and includes artists Ramesh Dhwoj Shrestha, AC Suman, Sushma Rajbhandari, Ganesh Kumar GC, Chanda Shrestha, Ranju Yadav, Manoj Tamang, and Kanchakaji Bhasis. The event is being supported by Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Bangladesh.
